About us
Our story
Housing Disrepair Helpline was founded in 2015 by Will Angood, driven by a passion for housing and supporting tenants’ rights.
What began with one man and a bag of leaflets has grown into a team of over 25, built around helping tenants and leaseholders get their homes fixed. For us, a successful outcome means improving the condition of a home as well as pursuing compensation where appropriate.
We work with a panel of experienced solicitors who have spent many years dealing with tenant, leaseholder and shared owner disrepair claims. Working with a panel gives us access to different firms, helping us identify suitable legal support for each person’s circumstances.
Housing Disrepair Helpline is a claims management company. We gather initial information and help people access legal support; the appointed solicitor assesses the claim, explains the funding agreement and handles the legal work.
