Lewisham Council Leaseholder Reports Roof Leak, Suspected Subsidence and Pest Problems

Housing Disrepair Helpline has assisted with a leasehold property where Lewisham Council is identified as the freeholder, following reports of a combination of serious disrepair problems including a roof leak, suspected subsidence and a pest infestation.

The assessment records a recurring roof leak resulting in damage to ceilings and walls within the property.

There is also evidence suggesting suspected subsidence. The assessment notes that nearby trees could be contributing to the ground movement.

A pest infestation has additionally been reported as part of the case.

Scaffolding has been erected and some soffit work carried out. However, the leaseholder reports that only part of the required work was addressed.

The problems have reportedly been raised with Lewisham Council around 15 times.
